Constructed from 100% household junk! I got the basic design from this lovely tutorial
[link] but took my own path for most of it.
I used vitamin bottle caps instead of mason jar lids for the rims, the lenses are made out of some thin green plastic sheeting my Dad gave me years ago, the strap and side guards are made of faux leather (the side guards are reinforced with cardboard), the "sheepskin" is minky (it makes them really comfy), the rings on the side were stolen from an old purse, the buckle in the back is two links from an old chandelier chain, the "rivets" are Bedazzler studs with the prongs folded under, and the nosepiece/decorative-thing-around-the-lenses is copper wire.
I love these things so much I refuse to take them off! I even wore them to school!

The fuzz isn't bad, although I think I trimmed it a little when I made them because I was worried about the same thing. The most restrictive part vision-wise is due to their forward facing nature. But even so, they are perfectly wearable and make pretty great sunglasses
